In this solo exhibition in the Gowanus nonprofit's main space, Samuel Alexander Forest, an Indonesian-born artist and 2026 Open Call finalist, presents his drawing-based practice, in which humble materials like pencil and paper are planned, cut, drawn on and folded into three-dimensional objects. Attentive to overlooked everyday things, his books, videos and paper sculptures slip between poetry and humor, showing what minimal means can do and be.
