Sarah Sense (b. 1980) is a Chitimacha/Choctaw artist who weaves her photographs together with maps, archival documents and historical images, using variations on traditional Chitimacha and Choctaw basketry patterns. She earned her MFA at Parsons the New School for Design, held a British Library Eccles Centre Fellowship from 2019 to 2022, and is the author of Weaving the Americas. She is also a curator, writer and researcher.
