Matthew Ronay (b. 1976, Louisville, Kentucky) lives and works in Brooklyn. He studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art and earned his MFA from Yale in 2000. Known for hand-carved, colorful basswood sculptures, he has had solo presentations at the Blaffer Art Museum, the Pérez Art Museum Miami and the Nasher Sculpture Center, and took part in the 2004 Whitney Biennial and the 2013 Lyon Biennale.
