Joel W. Fisher is a photographer based in Portland, Oregon, whose work investigates the relationship between observation, constructed imagery, and the photographic medium. His photographs have been exhibited at Fraenkel Gallery, Fotomuseum Winterthur, the Houston Center for Photography, and the Wassaic Project. A Fulbright scholar and recipient of awards from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and Oregon Arts Commission, he is Associate Professor of Art and Head of Photography at Lewis & Clark College.
