Jim McHugh is a Los Angeles based photographer known for his portraits of artists, musicians, and cultural figures, as well as his large format photographs of the city’s architecture and neighborhoods. A former photographer for People magazine, the Grammy Awards, and Architectural Digest, he has photographed artists including Ed Ruscha, John Baldessari, and David Hockney. His work is held in the collections of the Getty Museum, MoMA, the Walker Art Center, and the National Portrait Gallery in London.
