Jeffrey Gibson (b. 1972) is an interdisciplinary artist working in painting, installation, video and performance, synthesizing Indigenous and Western traditions through color, pattern and sound. A member of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians and of Cherokee descent, he represented the U.S. at the 2024 Venice Biennale. He lives in New York’s Hudson Valley and is artist-in-residence at Bard College.
