Gronk (b. 1954, Los Angeles) is a Chicano artist, painter, muralist, and performance artist whose work explores identity, history, mythology, and power. A founding member of the influential 1970s art collective ASCO, he helped challenge stereotypes of Chicano art and culture. His multidisciplinary practice spans painting, drawing, performance, murals, and theatrical design.
