Pasadena ceramist George Sherman (b. 1945, San Diego) carries the California Clay Movement lineage of Philip Cornelius and John Mason. A longtime technician and professor at CSULB, USC, and Scripps (retired 2018), he showed functional pottery for decades before presenting his own work from 2021. Marta has hosted several of his exhibitions, including FOX, BOBCAT, BEAR, On Fire, and Embers.
