exonemo is a Japanese artist duo formed by Kensuke Sembo and Yae Akaiwa in 1996. Working across internet art, installation, performance, and new media, their practice explores the relationship between digital networks and physical reality through humor, experimentation, and critical inquiry. Based in New York, exonemo has exhibited internationally at venues including the Whitney Museum of American Art, Ars Electronica, the New Museum, and the Aichi Triennale. Their work examines how technology shapes human behavior, communication, and perception in the networked age.
